Cultural events API for the Euregio Maas-Rijn
C-US provides a public, machine-readable directory of cultural venues and their published events across the Euregio Maas-Rijn. The API is the canonical source for the event records shown by C-US and is available to apps, researchers, chatbots, and other event guides.
Machine-readable interface
- OpenAPI 3.1 specification
- LLM integration guide
- Current venue directory (JSON)
- Upcoming events (JSON)
Base URL: https://c-us.eu/api. Public read endpoints require no API key.
Query events
Use the read-only GET /events endpoint. Without a date, it returns the default upcoming window (currently 14 days). Set an exact calendar date to retrieve that day’s events. Pagination uses a zero-based from offset and a limit from 1 to 1000.
curl 'https://c-us.eu/api/events?date=2026-11-15&from=0&limit=100'
Use GET /event/{eventId} for a single event without recording a view, or GET /venue/{venueId} for a venue and its future events. Venue IDs are the hexadecimal value of venue._id.$oid.
Event records
Each event includes its identifier, localized title and description, calendar date, venue location, tags, and any supplied image, website, or ticket URL. Text is available in Dutch, English, German, and French. Follow the event or ticket URL for changes confirmed by the organizer.
Coverage and provenance
C-US aggregates records from participating venues. Coverage changes over time; query the venue directory for the current list. The API is the canonical source for records in the C-US catalogue, not a guarantee that every event in the wider region has been included.
